            J.J. grew up in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and attended the University of Iowa where he was a member of the University of Iowa Hawkeye Football Team and was elected Co-Captain in 1987.  He played the position of linebacker and received both athletic and academic honors.  He attended Creighton University Law School and graduated in 1993 Cum Laude.  J.J. is married and has three daughters.  He is involved in a wide variety of activities, but mostly enjoys spending time with his family and children.
